They host all of the college sporting events including football basketball and volleyball held in either the UNI dome or the new McLeod Center. Young Arena opened its doors in December of 1994 and operates as part of the City of Waterloo Leisure Services Department. Young Arena is the home of the United States Hockey League's Waterloo Black Hawks who were the 2007 USHL Anderson Cup and the 2004 Clark Cup & Tier 1 National Champions.

Built in the 1960’s this drag race track is 60 ft. wide and 4000 ft. long with 350 ft. concrete launch pads. The drag strip is asphalt. Cedar Falls Raceway has been under IHRA and NHRA Sanctions and is currently a NHRA Member Track. The races are held on Friday Saturday and Sundays. Gates open at 5:30 on Friday 1:30 on Saturday and 9 AM on Sunday. Admission cost varies according ot the event and range from $8 for adults on up. Children from $3 on up. The races run from April until October.

The home of John Deere where you can always get tours and see how the famous tractors are made. Bring the Family to lost Island Waterpark, where there is much more than famous slides, go-carts, & minature golf. Waterloo is also home to the Dan Gable Wrestling Museum.

Dike is the new recreational center for Grundy County. The new 255 acre conservation/recreation area includes a lake, hiking trails, camping facilities and picnicking areas.

Reinbeck is located in southeast Grundy County just minutes away from Cedar Falls and Waterloo. Reinbeck offers visitors a unique shopping experience in a downtown that includes gift shops and a refurbished soda fountain.
