The two rivers, Rum and Mississippi, meet in Historic downtown Anoka. The city of Lino Lakes covers an area of 33 square miles on the north side of the Twin Cities in Anoka County. The beautiful 2,700 acre Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park is within the heart of this amazing city. This area is well maintained by the natural settings and the wildlife habitats. The Joseph E. Wargo Nature Center offers public nature programs and environmental educational classes. Snowshoes and canoes are available for rent to encourage exploration of the area. Lino Lakes is not just about the beautiful lakes but also offers an amazing Chomonix Golf Course. Mature tree line fairways, water hazards on seven holes, and an abundant of wildlife makes this golf course an adventure. The city offers city parks tours, along with several shopping, food and lodging facilities.

Visitors can go back in time and experience what life was like for the Kelley Family back in the 1860's by touring the historic Oliver H. Kelley Farm. For the golfer, Elk River is home to both the Elk River Country Club and Pinewood Golf Course. For the wine connoisseur, Anoka County's first winery, Goose Lake Farm and Winery, is located in Elk River and offers wine tasting from June through December.
