I stayed here over the past weekend as it was one of the only big hotels around (and smaller motels kinda creep me out). This place was $140/night, so I was expecting a rather nice hotel. While it's decent, it is not even close to worth the price. This is a regular run of the mill hotel stay w/ nothing fancy and very is basic/generic looking. Rooms are not updated and are quite plain, and the only thing I liked was the continental breakfast in the morning. Before checking in, I was emailed my total cost w/ tax for the 2 nights I was staying which came to $289, I had reserved this on my debit card, and had just over $300 on that card upon check in. When checking in they asked if I wanted to use that card and I said that was fine (thinking this would be my total). When I checked my bank acct I was charged $324 which caused an overdraft in my bank account. I contacted the front desk and was told, oh well we authorized 10% more for a security deposit (however, mine was authorized for 20% more). I told them about the overdraft and that no one told me my card would be authorized for more than the total I was given and if I would have known this, I would have made sure to use another card or transferred money over. They just shrugged their shoulders at this and basically chalked it up to that this should be common knowledge and I should have know. The email back from the GM manager told me they expect customers to "know their finances." How rude. I did know them, and I think this was their fault for not letting customers know about the $40 extra authorization on the charge. Needless to say, not happy and the email back from the GM made this worse as she was quite rude. Would not recommend.
While I am sorry that you received over drafts on your card, I would hope that you realize that when you present your card at check in, it is authorized for your complete stay as well as a security deposit. The security deposit is to cover any long distance calls, food charges to the room and/ or any damages or missing items from the room, Ect... This is a common practice among hotels. If you are ever unsure What your card is authorized for, Please feel free to ask at check in. And always be certain that your card has enough to cover unplanned incendentals.

This Inn is very clean, the staff was very friendly. They will go out of their way to help you. I will be back to stay there again. Especially since I know I can park my ATV trailer in the parking...
This Inn is very clean, the staff was very friendly. They will go out of their way to help you. I will be back to stay there again. Especially since I know I can park my ATV trailer in the parking lot. And the new McDonald's next door. Hot tub could have been hotter but otherwise great place to stay. Loved everything about it. I was making a long drive back down from Canada and stopped here for the night - the best I can say is "adequate". I was tired, and it was available. The front lobby is tastefully decorated, but given that I was the only one in line, it took an inordinately long time to check in. They cold not find my rewards number or my account (despite the fact I stayed at another AmericInn just a week earlier.) I had to manually enter everything about me - very frustrating given how often I stay at this hotel chain. The carpet in my room was wet - I found out they had just shampooed all of them. Wish they had mentioned that BEFORE I checked in. Nonetheless, I got a decent night's sleep, had a marginal complementary breakfast in the morning, and was able to get them to input my rewards number the next morning when "an experienced person at the counter" was on hand to look it up. Quite a bit of construction going on and the area is not well-lit. It is easy to miss the hotel if you are driving down the Interstate... probably would not go out of my way to stay here again.
You are so right. This construction is a mess. Hopefully it will be complete by October. I am sorry for the inconvience durning your stay. And I am happy that the morning staff got your E,R card straightened out. I do hope you visit us on your next trip down 35. Until then I wish you Health and Happiness.

Unreliable internet. Jacuzzi tub water was green! The sink water was cloudy abd the shower head was clogged with no water pressure. I definitely was not impressed and the stay was not worth the price. I will say my only real positive note is that the beds were very comfortable.
Thank you for your review. While I have no way to look up your exact stay, I believe you must have been here durning our water shut off for the new road construction. We did have issues in a couple of rooms when they turned it back on. I am sorry that it caused water problems in your room. We are all hopeful that it will be completed very soon.
I do hope you will try us again post construction.
