Great Lakes Aquarium is a nonprofit organization dedicated to capturing the wonder and excitement of Lake Superior inspiring responsibility for the world's large lakes and fresh water and creating understanding of their value. Previously known as Lake Superior Center Great Lakes Aquarium has been located on the Duluth Waterfront since 2000. A mostly freshwater aquarium this aquarium features animals and habitats found within the Great Lakes Basin and is ideal for Minnesota kids fun. The Aquarium also houses animals from other fresh water ecosystems such as the Amazon River.

A regulation par 36 course the Silver Bay Golf Course was constructed in 1959 by the Reserve Mining Company and has matured into one of finest nine hole layouts in the state. The Golf Course was opened to the public in 1983 and is now owned by the City of Silver Bay. It is a beautiful course surrounded by forested hills.

Canal Park is on the shores of Lake Superior and home to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, Great Lakes Aquarium, numerous shops, art galleries and restaurants. The centerpiece of Canal Park is the Aerial Lift Bridge under which 1,000 foot ships from around the world enter the harbor. Duluth International Airport is located just north of the city of Duluth.

Visit the picturesque community of Silver Bay, situated in a beautiful valley. Silver bay is known for it's summer hiking trails, winter cross country skiing and well-groomed snowmobile trails.
