The Museum of Wisconsin Art was founded in 1961 to collect the works of Milwaukee-born artist Carl von Marr (1858-1936). It currently holds the best and most comprehensive collection of his work anywhere. In 1998 after recognizing that no institution was building a comprehensive survey collection of Wisconsin art the Early Wisconsin Art Collection was unveiled on the state’s sesquicentennial.

This museum is thought by many to be the best local history museum in the Midwest. The museum houses extensive displays on local business and industry early settlers family and social and cultural life as well as the Norm Colby Interpretive Center an interactive exhibit gallery. The Old Courthouse Museum is open Wednesday-Friday 11am to 5pm Saturday from 9am to 1pm and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Admission is free. Old Jailhouse Museum was very recently restored to its turn-of-the-century condition and is now open during the same hours as the Old Courthouse Museum

One of the newest and most interesting additions to Regner Community Park is the Labyrinth Garden Earth Sculpture. The labyrinth is 90 feet in diameter and consists of a carefully planted selection of bulbs perennials herbs and annuals. Follow the winding path of the labyrinth will take you to the center of the circle and eventually back out again. It is a beautiful work of art that can be actively enjoyed.

This park embodies the community spirit of West Bend. The natural landscape is interwoven with activity - playgrounds nature trails large play areas tennis courts soccer fields and baseball diamonds. But most unique about the park is the swimming pond. Standing on the sandy beach beside the bathhouse one cannot help but feel like they’ve taken a step back in time. During the winter the pond becomes a place for ice-skaters and hockey players. It’s truly a storybook setting.

West Bend’s Riverwalk runs 3 miles along the bend in the Milwaukee River for which the city was named. A number of works of public art along the route as well as excellent views of the river.

The 136-acre Lac Lawrann Conservancy contains wetlands a native hardwood forest a red pine plantation tall grass prairie and glacial landscapes. The Conservancy serves as refuge to over 300 species of plants over 200 species of birds and a wide variety of mammals as well as reptiles and amphibians. The 4 miles of hiking trails are open daily dawn to dusk and about 3 miles are groomed for cross-country skiing when snow conditions permit.

Auto enthusiasts can visit the Hartford Heritage Auto Museum and its collection of Kissel cars in Hartford, just northwest of Germantown. The Kissel family manufactured automobiles in Hartford through 1929 and Black Tuesdays crash of the stock market. Kissel's were luxury automobiles purchased by the wealthy from coast to coast, including the Hollywood movie stars of the 1920s.

A small community that is home of the scenic Kettle Moraine Drive, Slinger Speedway, several great restaurants and more.

The Holy Hill pilgrimage church sits atop the highest hill in a multi county area, five miles west of Germantown. The view approaching the shrine from all directions is spectacular in every season of the year, but especially in autumn. The peak of Holy Hill is 1,335 feet above sea level, ranking the 30th highest point in the state, and the highest peak for a radius of 50 miles. Tours are available. A half mile outdoor Way of the Cross, an 178 stair church tower lookout, the Lourdes Grotto and a gift shop on the grounds are other attractions for visitors

The Village of Richfield is located in the heart of the Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin. The community is nestled in the woods and hills but is only minutes away from Downtown Milwaukee. There is much to see and do in the area. Richfield is a golfer's paradise. The community has two golf courses and many excellent restaurants.

The West Bend Art Museum houses the largest permanent collection of the works of 19th Century artist Carl Von Marr, whose descendants settled in the West Bend area. The Art Museum also hosts traveling shows of artwork of all description throughout each year.
