For the golf enthusiasts Bruce is home to Taylor's Amacoy Golf Course. Boating and fishing can be enjoyed on Amacoy Lake and it also includes the Wonderspot Resort with cabin rentals and great food. In the winter time skiers and snowboarders can enjoy Christie Mountain.

The recreation area is a place for all seasons. Sping and summer is the time for fishing and recreation on the Lake Holcombe Flowage (approximately 3600 acres, with 120 miles of shoreline). The summer also offers plenty of opportunities to tour the 3400+ acres of public forest land, hike the Ice Age Trail, or go horseback riding in the county forest. Fall brings a beautiful display of colors, whether hunting or hiking in the country forests. Winter is the season for snowmobiling with access to more than 400 miles of groomed trails or riding on the lake. The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport is located on the southern edge of Chippewa County, within the city limits of Eau Claire.
