Seminole Gulf Railway - For 2 decades, Seminole Gulf Railway has delighted people of all ages with comical murder mysteries, educational daytime excursions, festive holiday events, and of course, delicious food & outstanding service. Dinner Train Theater presents an original mystery played out during a five-course meal, Wednesday through Saturday evenings. In the fall of 1991, the Dinner Train began its first Murder Mystery Production, "Murder on the Seminole Express" which became an instant success. Other special trips followed, the most popular of which was the Christmas Rail/Boat Trips to Punta Gorda, which have become an annual event. Over the past seventeen years, The Dinner Train Theater, known to many as the Murder Mystery Train has hosted over 450,000 patrons and has premiered over 45 new murder mystery productions. Operating year-round, The Dinner Train Theater seats up to 200 passengers in 4 reconditioned 1930's - 1940's vintage railcars, "Sanibel", "Marco", "Gasparilla" and "Captiva". All food is prepared on board the train in the "Marco" kitchen.

Lover's Key State Recreation - For years, Lovers Key was accessible only by boat and it was said that only lovers traveled to the island to enjoy its remote and solitary beach. Today, it is one of four barrier islands that make up this state park. A haven for wildlife, the islands and their waters are home to West Indian manatees, bottlenose dolphins, roseate spoonbills, marsh rabbits, and bald eagles. The two mile long beach is accessible by boardwalk or tram and is popular for shelling, swimming, picnicking, and sunbathing. Black Island has over five miles of multiuse trails for hiking and bicycling. Anglers and boaters can launch their vessels from the park's boat ramp. The park's concession offers boat and fishing tours, as well as bicycle, canoe, and kayak rentals.
