National Motorcycle Museum - The extensive collection of motorcycles and memorabilia will have you spending hours poring over the thousands of items on display. For those who grew up with motorcycles, the museum unleashes a torrent of memories. There are more than 200 vintage and antique motorcycles in the main showroom, from a 1903 Indian Racer to a 1998 Captain America replica of the chopper ridden by Peter Fonda in the film "Easy Rider." Anamosa State Penitentiary Museum - The Anamosa State Penitentiary Museum showcases the 137-year history of Iowa's largest prison. The museum offers displays describing prison life, the role of the "guard" through the years, and a huge variety of photographs from the prison's early days. Historic stone building on the prison grounds displays artifacts and historical information about Iowa's largest correctional facility. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from Noon to 4:00pm Memorial Day weekend through the first Saturday in October. Tours are also available by appointment (call 319-462-2386 and leave a message). Admission fee is $3.00 for adults and students are free.

Wapsipinican State Park - This park features 400 acres of beauty. Located on county road E-34 in the southwest corner of Anamosa along the Wapsipinicon River, the park boasts modern campsites, some with electrical hookups. The grounds also include a shower building (warm weather only), complete with basins, flush toilets and showers. Trails are available for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. The park features fishing and a boat launch into the river, along with two caves (Ice Cave and Horse Thief Cave, which at one time was used to hide stolen horses). Grant Wood Scenic Byway - Begin your tour along the Grant Wood Scenic Byway with a side trip to Stone City, where you'll recognize what inspired Iowa's own Grant Wood: rolling hills, limestone structures, church spires, rounded haystacks and cornstalks.
Wapsipinican Golf & Country Club - A nine-hole golf course tucked between the scenic bluffs and the Wapsipinicon River. It features very tough rolling hills. The course is laid out over 2,990 yards. Carts are available. Call 319-462-3930 for more information.
Fawn Creek Golf & Country Club - Located on the east edge of Anamosa is this beautiful nine-hole course which is stretched out over 3,260 yards. Fawn Creek is known for its long, wide-open fairways with a pond and creek water hazard. Unrestricted play is available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays for non-members. Calkins Square and Wyoming Historical Museum - Step back in time at Calkins Square…Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the home contains many of the original items used by Dr. Martin Calkins, a country doctor and Wyoming's first mayor. Period furnishings in the doctor's office and home, including original items from three generations. The Wyoming Historical Museum, in the renovated 1874 Hotel Williams, features pharmaceutical items, old-fashioned ice cream parlor, replica of old dental office and barber shop, historical displays.

Cedar Rapids Museum of Art - The museum's rich holdings of art include the world's largest collection of works by Regionalist artist and Cedar Rapids native Grant Wood, along with galleries devoted to Roman art, prints, and 20th century American art.
McDonough Canoe Rental - A family owned and operated canoe rental business that has been serving river enthusiasts for the past 25 years. They can accommodate any rental needs whether it is families, groups of friends, small businesses, large corporations, interest groups, youth organizations, or school groups. They have 160 canoes, 250 inner-tubes, and 20 kayaks. McDonough Canoe Rental is ready to send you floating down the river. Their river trips are fun for the novice as well as the experienced paddlers. Canoe trips begin at the canoe rental located near the Monticello Dam. After you put your canoe in the water, prepare for a fun-filled day as you float down the Maquoketa River. The trip downstream to Pictured Rocks Park is eight miles and should take approximately three to four hours of floating time depending on the river level and the stops you choose to make along the way. Some choose to paddle while others choose to relax and take advantage of the day stopping along the way at the many sandbars. About half way down, you will enter the spectacular bluffs along the river, and those with a sharp eye may see the profile of an Indians head in the high bluff. You will end your trip at Pictured Rocks Park. The lush landscapes of the Maquoketa River offer many opportunities to stop and enjoy; therefore, canoes are rented by the day. You can be on the water as early as 9:00 a.m., but all canoes are off the water by 6:30 p.m.

Mount Mercy College - Mount Mercy College, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is a Catholic college established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928. Mount Mercy has grown in size and offers graduate education programs in business and education, as well as continuing to provide more than 35 major areas of study for baccalaureate programs. Mount Mercy is home to 1,555 undergraduate, transfer, adult accelerated, and graduate students.
Coe College - Coe College is a private, nationally recognized four-year coeducational liberal arts institution established since1851. With more than 40 majors that range from accounting to art to molecular biology, Coe truly offers something for everyone. Coe College awards the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Music (B.M.), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) and the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.).
Kirkwood Community College - With the main campus located in Cedar Rapids, IA, Kirkwood Community College has more than 120 programs of study to choose from and students can get the first two years of college life in an affordable atmosphere. Kirkwood’s Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees are built around a liberal arts curriculum designed to transfer to four-year schools. Kirkwood’s Associate of Applied Science degree uses hands-on instruction to prepare for specialized technical careers. Kirkwood maintains special transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities for many of the applied science programs. Kirkwood offers certificate and diploma programs that provide real world experience in a skilled trade in as little as nine months to one year. The community-based Kirkwood Centers, provide college classes, testing, guidance and counseling services in every county. The goal is to have Kirkwood classes and services within half an hour of every person in the seven-county area.
Cornell College - Set on a wooded hilltop overlooking Mount Vernon, IA, Cornell College is a private, four-year liberal arts college. Students focus intensely on one course for three and half weeks, known as One Course At A Time, then move on to a new subject. Cornell is one of only two national liberal arts colleges on this block plan. Cornell students can choose from 35 majors, 25 minors, and 11 pre-professional programs.
