Humboldt, Iowa

The AmericInn of Fort Dodge is located fifteen miles south of Humboldt, home of Born Free Incorporated.  With unique restaurants including Rustix and Pasquales and a large outdoor waterpark, a drive to Humboldt is definitely worth the trip.

Webster City, Iowa

Conveniently located off Highway 20, Webster City is a short drive from Fort Dodge.  The downtown area offers unique shopping.  Home of the Hamilton County Fairgrounds you can browse the flea market once a month during the summer.  Webster City is home to Electrolux, manufacturer of vaccuum cleaners and accessories.

Manson, Iowa

Manson is a growing community of approximately 2000.  It is in north-central Iowa, located on Highway 7, just 16 miles west of Fort Dodge and within 10 miles of the Twin Lakes Recreation Area.

Gowrie, Iowa

Gowrie is located in southwest Webster County on US Highway 175, a 25 minute drive from Fort Dodge and only a little over an hour from Des Moines.  Gowrie is a bustling community nestled in the midst of north central Iowa's productive grain fields.  It is a great place to visit and a wonderful place to live!  The pace is a bit more relaxed here, but opportunities abound.  Take a dip in the pool, revisit the past in the museum, hit the links at the golf course, walk a nature trail, attend a summer evening concert in the city park, or shop at one of the many fine businesses.  These are just a sampling of the many things you can do here.

Eagle Grove, Iowa

Eagle Grove, a small town thirty minutes Northeast of Fort Dodge is home to Advanced Drainage Systems.  The local waterpark was just opened in July of 2007.

Rockwell City, Iowa

Twin Lakes is just five minutes from Rockwell City.  Thirty-five percent of the shoreline is available for public use.  This includes three state parks, two county parks, and three boat ramps.  North Twin Lake, a natural blue-water lake, is especially popular for water skiing, sailing, swimming and camping.  South Twin Lake has a wildlife refuge and hunting/fishing areas.  A nine-hole golf course borders the lake.

West Bend, Iowa

Home of the Grotto of the Redemption, West Bend is a short half hour drive from the AmericInn of Fort Dodge.
