University of Northern Iowa- The university is located 25 miles from the AmericInn of Grundy Center. They host all of the college sporting events, including football, basketball and volleyball held in either the UNI dome or the new McLeod Center. Pine Lake State Park - Just a short 20 minute drive west from Grundy Center will bring you to the Pine Lake State Park. Barn Quilt Tours- The mission of the Barn Quilts of Grundy County is to promote and celebrate the unique agricultural experience of Grundy County through the visual combination of barns, which were vital to the economic well-being of the rural community, and the comfort of handmade quilts that provided warmth, beauty and an outlet for individual artistic expression.
