Beaman, Iowa
Beaman located 12 miles south of our Grundy hotel and was once known as a center for livestock shipping. Beaman has made the transition, like many small Iowa cities to a community of well-kept homes with owners working outside the city.
Conrad, Iowa
Conrad is a vibrant community of just over 1000 people located 16 miles southwest of Grundy Center. Slated for completion in 2008, is a new state-of-the-art library that will serve well as a hub of the downtown district. Conrad is home to Ritchie Industries and PCA (Packaging Corporation of America).
Dike, Iowa
Dike is quickly becoming the sought after address of people wishing to escape the city. Dike is located 15 miles northwest of Grundy Center. Dike is the new recreational center for Grundy County. The new 255 acre conservation/recreation area includes a lake, hiking trails, camping facilities and picnicking areas, which are all less than a half mile from the center of town.
