Area Travel - AmericInn® of Iowa Falls, IA

Welcome to Beautiful Iowa! Read about Iowa Falls attractions and things to do nearby AmericInn.

Iowa Falls was founded in 1856 and grew quickly into a burgeoning frontier town.  This was followed by more growth as three railroads intersected here in the late 1800's and early 1900's.  You can take a walking tour of the historic downtown area which includes 11 properties listed on the national register of historic places.  View passing trains from the only electric interlocking control tower still standing in Iowa or tour the 1904 Illinois Central Depot.  Take a ride on the Scenic City Empress and see the swinging foot bridge from the waters of the Iowa River.  Enjoy two 9-hole golf courses or take a walk through the Pat Clark Art Collection.

There are so many things to do in Iowa Falls, you'll find something for everyone!
