Lamoni Iowa
Located just 30 miles from our Osceola hotel, Lamoni is home to Graceland University the Alma Mater of Gold Medal Olympian Bruce Jenner. The town is significant historical area for the "Community of Christ" Church and is host to Liberty Hall Museum and has recently become home to a sizable Amish community.
Leon Iowa
Located 20 miles south of Osceola; Leon is the county seat of Decatur County and is host to the Little River Lake and Recreation area as well as the largest rodeo is southern Iowa.
Murray Iowa
Murray is a quaint small town just 10 miles West of Osceola and is home to Mount Pisgah, a semi-permanent settlement of the Mormon Trail between 1846 and 1852. The site is now marked by a 9 acre state park which contains exhibits, historical markers and a 19th century cemetary memorializing 300 - 800 emigrants who died there.

Winterset Iowa
Just 30 miles southwest of Osceola you find Winterset and BEAUTIFUL Madison County, Iowa. Madison County is know for it's historic covered bridges. A total of 6 covered bridges still stand in Madison County, one of which is in the Winterset City Park. While you are there make a trip to the top of Clark Tower and see a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. Winterset hosts a covered Bridge Festival every year, the 2nd full week of October.
