Walker

Park Rapids

Park Rapids, Minnesota is located 46 miles from the AmericInn of Bemidji.  The Park Rapids Lakes Area is the Gateway to the Mississippi River Headwaters at Itasca State Park, home of the historical Heartland Trail and a Lake County Scenic Byway Community.  The downtown area has a number of shopping opportunities and great restaurants. 

Cass Lake

Cass Lake, Minnesota is located 18 miles from Bemidji, Minnesota.  Cass Lake has a rich and interesting history.  It was once the largest rail center in northern Minnesota for the Great Northern Railway.  Experience some of the history by visiting the Cass Lake Museum and Lyle's Logging Camp.  While you're in the area check out the Chippewa National Forest.  Discover over 280 miles of trails that offer you the opportunity to view the forest, including the Mi-gi-zi Trail which is a newly paved trail for bicyclists, joggers and skaters and the adjoining unpaved trail for snowmobiles.

Blackduck

Blackduck, Minnesota is 25 miles away, and a must stop for the annual Woodcarver's Festival in July.  Great fun and activities for the whole family.  Also be sure to travel to the 28 mile Ladyslipper Scenic Byway.  The Byway features pine and hardwood forests, great fishing lakes, recreation areas, historic sites and crosses the Mighty Mississippi.  Visit the Rabideau Civilian Conservation Corps Camp, a National Treasure.

Bagley

Stop and see the Bagley Tourist Park located next to beautiful Lake Lamond just 34 miles from Bemidji.  The park offers fishing docks, a swimming beach, playground, basketball court, tennis court and picnic shelters.  Also located just blocks from the park is the Twin Pines Golf Course.

Crookston

Crookston, Minnesota is 96 miles from Bemidji and located in the heart of the Red River Valley and lies on the banks of the Red Lake River.  The community of Crookston features a large, historic downtown, with many recreational opportunities such as golfing, snowmobiling and fishing the Red Lake River.  Go to the northern edge of town and you'll find the University of Minnesota - Crookston campus.
