Area Travel - AmericInn® of Detroit Lakes, MN

Welcome to Beautiful Minnesota! Read about Detroit Lakes attractions and things to do during your stay:

Since 1871, as the Northern Pacific Railroad etched its way westward through Becker County, Detroit Lakes drew families here for vacations in Minnesota, during both winter and summer.  We offer easy access to family friendly entertainment at the Detroit Lakes Mile Long City Beach, Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center, nine Golf Courses, WE Fest Music Concert, Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, Itasca State Park and Maplewood State Park.  It's a short drive to the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota. Find your favorite spot on the shore of one of the 412 lakes within a 25 mile radius of Detroit Lakes.  Plan to stay awhile and come back often!
