- GAR Hall (Grand Army of the Republic) - Built by the Union Soldiers of the Civil War in 1885, this GAR Hall is the last of its kind in Minnesota. Located on the east side of Litchfield's Central Park, the GAR Hall and Museum will let you view not only Civil War memorabilia but also historical items going back to the days of early settlers in Meeker County. - Forest City Stockade - The Forest City Stockade takes you back to 1862 when the Indian Wars broke out. The hastily built fort served as a refuge for the local settlers during those dark days of the war. The Forest City Stockade is located 6 miles Northeast of Litchfield on Highway 24, just south of present day Forest City. The Forest City Stockade Rendezvous is the 3rd weekend in August. - Twine Ball – Located in Darwin, MN 7 miles east of Litchfield on Highway 12. It’s the world’s largest ball of twine made by one man.
