Take a walk on the wild side at Dickerson Park Zoo. The zoo located in Springfield Mo. is home to hundreds of animals representing 160 species

The Republic Branch Library opened in 1961 as a consolidation of book deposits held at several locations in this western Greene County city. The branch has relocated five times as use of the library continues to grow.

What was once a 16 acre farm and an old barn house has become an exciting place to visit and to enjoy a variety of fruity wine blends. Le Cave Vineyards a family run business has created a truly entertaining place to be just right outside of Springfield.

The Springfield Cardinals are a minor league baseball team based in Springfield Missouri. The team which plays in the Texas League is the Double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals major-league club and is owned by the Cardinals. The club plays at Hammons Field.

Visit the site of the first major Civil War battle fought west of the Mississippi River and the scene of the death of Nathaniel Lyon the first Union general killed in combat. With the exception of the vegetation the field has changed little and remains in near pristine condition.
