Springfield, Missouri

Just ten minutes from Republic, Springfield offers a unique mix of large-city amenities and hometown hospitality.  There is plenty to do to please the entire family.  Shopping (Battlefield Mall,) baseball games (Springfield Cardinals,) Bass Pro Shop, a chocolate emporium (Askinosie Chocolate,) and plenty of places to dine (Texas Roadhouse, Zios Italian, Red Lobster, etc.)  If you have children, you won't want to miss the Discovery Center and Incredible Pizza.  If a broadway show is what you have in mind, then be sure to check out the Juanity K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. 

Mt. Vernon, Missouri

This quaint town lies approximately 20 minutes west of our Republic hotel.  It is the Lawrence County seat and is the home of the Missouri Veterans Home and the Missouri Rehabilitation Center.  Mt. Vernon is famous for its "Apple Butter Makin' Days" Festival held the second weekend in October.

Billings, Missouri

If you enjoy flea markets then Billings will interest you.  Just 10 minutes southwest of our Republic hotel you'll find this town; you won't be able to miss the intersection since it's lined from one end to the other with flea markets!
