of the last conflict of the Plains Indian Wars, which took place in

Beaver Creek Park – Located 12 miles south of Havre on Highway
234, this natural recreation area of 10,000 acres extends to the north
slope of the Bears Paw Mountains. Picnic areas and developed secluded
campsites are located for public use. The park offers unlimited
opportunities for recreation such as sightseeing, hiking, fishing,
cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

Havre Beneath the Streets – Travel back in time in this
historical recreation of Havre’s underground marketplace as it existed
in the late 19th century. This subterranean mall features a honky-tonk
saloon, an opium den, Chinese laundry, and a bordello.

Buffalo Jump – Discovered in the fall of 1961, Buffalo Jump is
one of the largest prehistoric Indian bison kill and campsites in
America. Earliest use of this site began 2,000 years ago and continued
intermittently until approximately 600 years ago. The site has been
kept in its natural state. Take a walking tour that provides an
unrivaled view of the area’s prehistory!
