Medora
Dickinson is located 35 miles west along I-94, on the edge of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Richardton
Located just 25 miles east of Dickinson, this town features 'Assumption Abby', which is home to 60 Benedictine monks. The monistery was built in 1909, and features 52 beautiful stained glass windows, 24 paintings of saints on canvas, and a huge carved crucifix.
Killdeer
Located just 35 miles north of Dickinson. Killdeer is host to the Four Bears Scenic Byway, which features unique and enchanting landscapes in one of the mosts scenic areas of western North Dakota. While you're in the area, check out the Killdeer Mountain Battlefield State Historic Site. This site commemorates a battle fought in 1864 between 2,200 troops led by Gen. Sully and 6,000 Sioux Indians. This area is also home to Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing, that manufactures electronic circuit boards and other aerospace products -- tours are available.
