Medora Musical -June 1 - Sept 6 - A two-hour professionally-produced musical variety show performed in the outdoor Burning Hills Amphitheatre located in the heart of the North Dakota Badlands at Medora. Nightly show at 8:30 pm MST. The Medora Musical offers wholesome, family friendly entertainment with a mix of modern country, western, gospel and patriotic music performed by a talented cast of singers and dancers from across the US.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park- Theodore Roosevelt first came to the badlands in September 1883 on a hunting trip. While here he became interested in the cattle business and invested in the Maltese Cross Ranch. He returned the next year and established the Elkhorn Ranch. Years later he stated several times, "I never would have been President if it had not been for my experiences in North Dakota." 36 mile Loop is Open 24 hrs a day. Visitor Center is Open from 8:00 am-8:00 pm.

North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame - The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame is the interpretive center for the history of Native Americans, ranching, rodeo, and the western lifestyle of the plains and Badlands. Here, the culture and legacy that is the character of the Great American West will be saved for future generations. Open daily 10:00 am - 8:30 pm.

The Maah Daah Hey Trail- A 120 mile hiking, horseback and mountain bicycle trail that traverses through the scenic and rugged badlands of North Dakota. The trail begins at Sully Creek State Park (3 miles south of Medora) and ends at the U.S. Forest Service CCC Campground in McKenzie County (20 miles south of Watford City).

Bully Pulpit Golf Course - This 18-hole course is set in the beautiful North Dakota Badlands. Some golf courses impose themselves on the landscape; the Bully Pulpit Golf Course conforms to the landscape. The course will open April 15 and close October 31, (weather permitting).

Painted Canyon - The name itself evokes an image of color and light playing across the face of a wild and broken land. Of the countless individuals who have stood transfixed at the canyon rim -- Native Americans, fur traders, a cavalry general, a man who would become the twenty-sixth President, naturalists, travelers, and writers -- all have tried to express the feeling of the moment. You can often see wild horses and elk from the overlook and bison frequently roam the visitor center grounds.
