Fort Sidney Complex - Post Commanders home and officers quarters
museum. The museum preserves the history of Cheyenne County. The

Sidney Historical Downtown District - Downtown Sidney is home to
numerous buildings listed on the national historic register. It is the
only city in western Nebraska to have a historic district due to the
buildings being adjoining.

Historical Markers - Sidney Deadwood Trail, walking across the union pacific tracks will reveal the ruts of this famed trail still visible as far as the eye can see. I-80 Golden Link, I-80 6 miles west of Sidney signified the joining of the east and west in Nebraska. The Goldlink is a 6’ strip of brass embedded in both lanes of Interstate 80. Cheyenne Frontier Days - The Daddy of ‘em All has been kicking
up dust since 1987 with the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and western
celebration. Highlighting 10 days of rip-roarin’ excitement is the
world’s best PRCH rodeo action and western entertainment. It’s nonstop
activity and hospitality at it's western best.

Lake McConaughy - Nearly everything about Lack McConaughy is
big. Its 30,500 surface acres make Nebraska’s largest reservoir over
100 miles of shore line at full storage. McConaugh is 22 miles long, 4
miles wide and 142 feet deep at the dam. The dam is the largest of its
type in the world. The fish grow to trophy proportions accounting for
several state records. Even its nickname “Big Mac” reflects its giant
stature.
