Neighboring Cities - AmericInn® Appleton, WI
Welcome to the Cities Neighboring our Appleton Wisconsin Hotel
Kaukauna, Wisconsin
Approximately nine miles to the north of our hotel, the city of Kaukauna is one of Wisconsin’s oldest communities. Family vacations should include a stop at the Historic Grignon Mansion and 1000 Islands Environmental Center, and then stop off at Colonial House Supper Club for a great meal. The city is also home to a large number of nationally recognized manufacturers such as Thilmany, Basset Mechanical and Roloff Manufacturing. The Kaukauna Industrial Park which is only two exits up Hwy 41 from the AmericInn of Appleton is home to over 80 businesses that employ over 2,200 people.
Neenah, Wisconsin
Recently named “Playful City, USA” by KaBoom, a national non-profit organization that envisions a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America, Neenah is definitely a great destination for families. This fun town is only about ten miles to the south of the AmericInn of Appleton. There are nearly 50 parks in this smaller community and they boast one historic home, one operational lighthouse and 7478 feet of shoreline on Lake Winnebago. You can enjoy the great local restaurants like Choices Neighborhood Restaurant, Ground Round and Zuppa’s whether you are traveling for business of pleasure. As home to Plexus Corporation international headquarters, they definitely get their share of business.
