Merrill is a city for all seasons, Summer, Winter, Spring or Fall, there's a calendar full of activities http://www.ci.merrill.wi.us/general/attractions_frame.html to enjoy. One of the biggest is Badger State Regional Summer Games. Merrill is one of eight regional hosts, drawing thousands of participants and spectators from a 20-county area. Winners travel to Madison for the state finals.

If your passion is polka, you won't want to miss the Central Wisconsin Polka Festival, a whole weekend of music and dancing. If it's parades you like, our Labor Day Parade is one of the largest in the area. When the parade ends, the fun continues with a full day of food, music and special events. Or maybe you like fairs. As the county seat, Merrill hosts the Lincoln County 4-H Free Fair. There's no admission to the five day event which is designed to highlight the project work of area youth. Another summer favorite is Art on the Courthouse Square. Some great artists and crafters display their wares on the courthouse lawn for show and sale. Some other summer favorites include the Farmer's Market, where local gardeners share their bounty at weekly markets, horse shows, and the annual professional rodeo.

When winter comes, there's no excuse for cabin fever. Winterfest is Merrill's answer to mid-winter madness. Outdoor games and contests help make the event a seasonal favorite. If it's shopping you enjoy, special retail promotions bring thousands of shoppers to Merrill each year for Crazy Days, Octoberfest and Spring Spectacular. Retail sales, combined with themed events and concessions, make these occasions something shoppers and sellers alike look forward to.

If you want to sit awhile and let others entertain you, take in a show. The Merrill Community Players do an outstanding job at providing two stage shows yearly. Their dinner theaters are very popular, as are their regular on-stage performances at the high school auditorium. Local high school students also stage two productions: a musical and a play. For a nominal fee, residents can enjoy some of the world's best entertainers who travel to Merrill for a series of winter concerts through the Merrill Area Concert Association. Merrill is also fortunate to have one of the last remaining city bands in the state. It performs weekly during the summer at various events and for evening concerts at the Stange's Park band shell. It truly is one of Merrill's special attractions.

Family Attractions and Activities 

Summer ATV Trails - Summer ATV trails open May 1st and close December 1st of each year. Poor trail conditions may result in them being posted close at any time.

Tomahawk Fall Ride for MDA - The Tomahawk Fall Ride brings in more than 40,000 motorcycle enthusiasts and others to the area each September. The event not only brings in entertainment and the newest motorcycles and accessories from Harley-Davidson, but it also raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Assocation (MDA.)

Fuddfest Country Music Festival - Fuddfest is located 1/2 mile North of the intersections of County Roads H, I & C. The festival brings together nationally known country and bluegrass entertainers.

Lincoln County 4H Free Fair - Each July, fairgoers enjoy five days of rides, midway, tractor pulls, rodeo and demolition derby. Loctaed at the fair grounds in Merrill, Wisconsin.
