Seven miles east of our New Richmond hotel is Somerset. Founded in 1856 by General Samuel Harriman, the Village of Somerset has a long, rich history that is reflected in Somerset's small town character and ethnic heritage. Somerset is surrounded by recreational facilities, parks, and the beautiful Apple River. In spring and summer, residents enjoy boating, fishing, tubing and numerous music fests; while autumn and winter finds them hunting, ice fishing or snowmobiling.
Amery, Wisconsin
Eighteen miles north of our New Richmond Motel is the quaint town of Amery. Nestled between the Apple River and North Twin/South Twin Lakes, Amery offers walking trails, fishing, boating and birding. Every September Amery hosts a fall festival where people can gather for ice cream socials, carnival rides, parades and demolition derby’s along with other festival activities.
Stillwater, Minnesota
Just across the beautiful St. Croix River is the picturesque city of Stillwater. Located 15 miles west of our New Richmond property, Stillwater offers some of the best shopping, dining, antiquing and some of the most breathtaking river views around.
