Neighboring Cities - AmericInn® of Ripon, WI
Welcome to the Cities Neighboring our Ripon, WI Hotel
Green Lake, Wisconsin
Five miles from our Ripon WI hotel, the City of Green Lake sits on the northeast shore of Big Green Lake, Wisconsin’s deepest lake. The fishing is great and there is always a breeze for sailing. During the summer, every Wednesday night there’s a concert in the park on the shore front. Green Lake is a well kept secret, so whether you are looking for a leisurely stroll in a quiet little town or want the excitement of fishing for “the big ones”, Green Lake is sure to please you. Of the many festivals hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, the biggest and best is Golden Days Harvest Fest and Car Show which takes place the last weekend of September.
Princeton, Wisconsin
If you are looking for a fun Saturday Flea Market (from mid April through mid October) or want to spend a day antique shopping, Princeton is the place. Located 14 short miles from our Ripon hotel, Princeton is the perfect location for day tripping. Downtown you’ll find shops with unique items for your home or antiques and the greatest little jewelry shop around. Most of the shop owners have their pets in the store with them to add to the “relaxed feel” of the community. Come visit during the summer when you can participate in the Annual Chicken Fling or attend the State Bar-B-Que Competition and watch the Greatest Wild West Show.
Oshkosh, Wisconsin
Twenty miles from our hotel in Ripon, located on Lake Winnebago, is Oshkosh. Every year during the last week in July, the sky comes alive over Oshkosh as the Experimental Aircraft Association hosts the largest air show in the world. The EAA museum is open year-round and is a “must see” for any visitor to the area. Revered as an “American Castle”, the Paine Art Center and Gardens features an exquisite 1920’s mansion with historic interiors, an exceptional art collection and display gardens.
Markesan, Wisconsin
Located twenty miles from our Ripon hotel, Markesan is home to DelMonte canning factory and the Gateway to central Wisconsin’s growing Amish country, where you can find Amish baked goods, furniture or greenhouses filled with beautiful, hearty plants.
