Wild Rose is located only 8 miles from Wautoma. Wild Rose is home to the Wild Rose Fish Hatchery since 1908. Open year round. The hatchery produces 27 percent of the state’s trout and salmon, 64 percent of northern pike and 100 percent of lake sturgeon and spotted musky. Wild Rose has a small community hospital and a miniature golf course.

Coloma

The AmericInn of Wautoma hotel is 15 miles from Coloma. The Clauson’s Barn Theater is a family Music show. Audiences enjoy a variety of classic music such as ragtime, country/western, 30’s jazz, 40’s swing, 50’s & 60’s, bluegrass and gospel. The Coloma Players are one of Waushara County’s best community theater groups. The usually perform two plays a year. Coloma’s largest event of the year is the Lions Chicken Chew, a three day event held in June.

Mount Morris

Mt. Morris is only 7 miles from Wautoma AmericInn and is home to Nordic Mountain ski resort. It is a great family ski area and one of the biggest changes is the addition of the Stoneridge Tubing Park last year. The Black Hawk Folk Society is a non-profit organization held at the Mt. Morris Park dedicated to binging quality music to Waushara County sponsoring monthly concerts and an annual festival.

Princeton is located 20 miles from Wautoma AmericInn. Princeton is famous for its huge seasonal flea market. Princeton also has dozens of antique and unique shops and restaurants.
