While staying in Weston Wisconsin in the summer, be sure to visit Marathon Park, the Riverwalk along the Wisconsin River, and the Whitewater Park and Kayak course in nearby Wausau WI. Rib Mountain State Park and the Ice Age Trail offer excellent hiking and picnic spots and the scenic Mountain-Bay Trail, a former railroad corridor, now serves as a 14-foot-wide, 83-mile bike trail that stretches from Weston to Green Bay.
In the winter, nearby Granite Peak features some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Wisconsin. Other winter pastimes include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, sledding and ice skating. Mohican North Star Casino offers exciting gaming and top-notch live entertainment in Bowler year-round.

Eau Claire River Trail – Experience the Village of Weston’s newest recreational opportunity on the Eau Claire River Trail. This walking and biking trail was constructed in 2003 to provide a unique outdoor experience for visitors and residents. Wade in the water, have a picnic on the riverbank, or bike along the scenic path and experience nature at its finest.

Mountain Bay Trail – For a fantastic bicycling adventure in beautiful natural surroundings, come to the Mountain Bay Trail. At 77 miles, this trail is the longest off-road bicycle path in Wisconsin, covering a wide array of terrains including pastoral meadows, charming country bridges, and lush wooded areas. Note: a State of Wisconsin Trail Pass is required and may be obtained at the Trail Head or at any State DNR office.
