The Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut is an interactive hands-on educational opportunity for the children in your life. The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center established in 1946 is a non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling its mission: to inspire and nurture appreciation of the natural world and foster a personal environmental ethic. They are a combination wildlife sanctuary visitor attraction and educational facility. The center features all new exhibits highlighting the habitats and wildlife of southeastern Connecticut as well as eight miles of trails that wind through a beautiful 300-acre wooded preserve. Through natural history exhibits educational classes and outreach programs we seek to educate visitors of all ages about the unique interrelationships of animals plants and non-renewable resources.

The museum documents the development of submarines from David Bushnell's Turtle constructed in 1776 to the Navy's modern submarines. It is the Navy's official submarine museum. Visitors can tour the NAUTILUS the first nuclear-powered submarine. There is a bus and R/V parking and a picnic area that has seating for up to 50. The museum has a gift shop. Admission and parking are free. Reservations are required for groups larger than 25.

The Museum of America and the Sea is the nation's leading maritime museum. Explore American maritime history firsthand as you climb aboard historic tall ships stroll through a re-created 19th century coastal village or watch our working preservation shipyard in action. Handicapped accessible.
The first completely solar powered winery in New England this 40 acre vineyard is located in the Salmon River Watershed area with a breathtaking 35 mile view of the New England countryside. The fruit is hand picked. The vineyard benefits from the unique microclimate of the hills of New London County just 15 miles from Long Island Sound and is able to grow classic European varietals. It has also been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a natural bird and wildlife habitat.
Wine tastings are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or take a conducted tour of a working winery at 2 p.m. daily and learn how wine is made. There are sales of wine and related items in the gift shop and art gallery which displays the works of regional artists. This is a delicious and educational experience for the whole family.
