This is a very clean, convenient location and great staff for the hotel. I was extremely happy to have stayed there. Even thing was neat and fresh and the hotel staff was very helpful. Would stay there again.

I called the national number and was told this Americinn did not offer a Park and Fly. On a whim I decided to call the hotels direct line and talk to someone. The person I talked to was so helpful. I booked our room. When we checked in, I asked once again about leaving our car while we were gone for 10 days. They assured me it would be no problem. Everything went so smooth. We stayed the night, we told them at the front desk when we were ready to leave. They pulled a warm van up to the front door and loaded our bags into the van. They took us to the airport. We were given a business card with the Americinn's phone number highlighted and were told to give them a call when we returned. At the airport, I realized that I had forgotten to check-out and get a receipt. I called the hotel and they told me they knew we left and had already checked us out and would keep my receipt at the front desk for me to pick up when I returned. Once we returned from our trip, I called them and within 5-7 minutes they were out front of the airport ready to pick us up. Once again, very helpful. I went into the hotel to see about my receipt, and they had it right on the counter waiting for me. This hotel has excellent customer service! I will stay there again and will recommend it to others.

I called the hotel to ask about availability to leave a car parked while on a trip and was told the arrangements and cost which was very reasonable and that shuttle service is 24/7, so made reservations to stay the night before an early morning flight taking into consideration our more than 120 trip to DM airport in Iowa winter time. Asked for a main floor room since no elevator and slight handicap. Pleased with the functional, clean room and comfortable king bed. There was some breakfast items out for us to pick up on the way out to the warm shuttle, which is a quick ride to the airport. I had also booked for our late night return flight following 2 weeks away and we were picked up quickly after calling after retrieving our luggage... again in a warm van on a very cold night. Only disappointment was that a main floor room was not held for us as had been requested in the reservation and I had made a point of reminding on our departure...so was not convenient or easy for tired seniors getting our luggage up flights of stairs after spending a day flying and in airports. Breakfast the next morning had a nice selection of hot or cold choices and my husband especially appreciated the hot cocoa since we are not coffee drinkers. We will probably stay again.

However, I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your room not being on first floor when you and your husband returned from your trip. This has been communicated to the concerned staff.
This hotel is not handicap accessible. Had a broken rail outside that has not been fixed. Even though not shown it is a no smoking hotel and has a $200 cleaning fee if you do smoke in a room which is normal for your nice motels.

The website was rather confusing as to the availability of shuttle service to the airport at odd hours, so called the hotel directly and was met with wonderful helpfulness when booking our room. I mentioned that my husband was not good with stairs, and she quickly offered to put us in a ground floor handicap room, which was helpful and comfortable. We did book the shuttle for 5:20 a.m. and I asked if there would be any breakfast available at 5. She responded that there would be the cold selections but unlikely the hot dishes. Imagine our surprise to find that they had indeed made the wafflemaker, the sausages and the eggs hot and welcoming at 5:00! I was about to say the ubiquitous wafflemaker, but this one had both regular and whole-wheat waffles available. And more surprisingly, the woman who checked us out, made the breakfast available, and answered our questions was also our shuttle driver, and the shuttle was steps away and already warmed up when we were ready to depart. This was exceptionally good service and I regret we did not get her name before departing. The only reason this is not the very top of the rankings is that the building and decor are slightly tired, but we were very happy with our experience and it far exceeded a nearby competitor we'd previously used when we had to leave a car for a time there. We'll come back here next time.
