You better leave your room by 9am or your room won't get serviced. No elevator to 2nd floor, so if you have mobility issues, like my wife, tough luck. Better pray you can get a 1st floor room or you'll have to deal with the 15 steps to 2nd floor.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to complete our survey on your recent stay at the Grimes AmericInn. As per our telephone conversation, I have visited with housekeeping staff to ensure they double check to see if rooms have a do not disturb sign on the door before leaving for the day. As yours did, then it is my front desk's duty to ensure you get the service you need, by either providing towels, shampoo, etc., or calling in a housekeeper to come make up your room. I know that this will not make up for the inconveniences that you encountered while staying here, but it will let you know that I take these comments very seriously at the Grimes AmericInn Lodge and Suites.
Again, I would like to thank you for your time, in helping us to become a better hotel. I hope that you will choose to give us another try and that I will have the chance to meet you the next time your travels bring you to the Grimes area.

Recently stayed a night at this hotel. It was a non-smoking room by signage. However, it was obviously smoked in based on the smell. The smoke detector was disconnect from the wall, which is tells me without a doubt someone had been smoking in the room. The carpet had not been vacuumed as proven by the dried out french fry crumbs from the McDonalds down the street still on the floor. Did tell management before I left. She seemed responsive and thanked me for my comments.

We are very satisfied with all Americinn's we have stayed at. We have always tried to stay with Americinn motels whenever possible. This motel in Grimes met our standards with two very minor exceptions. The toilet kept running and the turnoff valve would not work, and the bath tub stopper was broken. The desk clerk assured me that both would be fixed immediately. Without these two minor problems we would have rated five stars.

I sincerely apologize for the problems of the running toilet and the broken bathtub stopper in your room. Once learning of the issues, I immediately had my maintenance guy, Dennis, resolve the issues. In addition, I have made sure that we do a more detailed inspection for our preventative maintenance to insure problems like these are unlikely to occur in the future.

The room and the hotel and staff was great - but the handicapped bathroom needed to much more cleaning. It was black in the grout area. The rest of the bathroom and the room was clean and nice. But it made you feel dirty to use the shower.

Thank you for your review. I have been working with my housekeeping staff on the grout in the handi-cap accessible rooms since I started last August! I can assure you that the bathrooms have been deep cleaned. Since your review, I have decided to hire someone to come in and replace the grout in the handi-cap accessible rooms.
