Great clean rooms & love the fresh baked cookies! Great beds, spacious rooms, very accommodating, wifi was in good working order, everything was updated and very nice...seriously they have fresh baked cookies out all day and they made you feel like home!

On my return to Minneapolis via 35W, the snowstorm kicked in, and visibility was so horrible that when I saw (barely) a sign for an AmericInn at exit 165, I thought, "Hmmm..."-- had to get gas anyway, and considering the driveway into the gas station was almost invisible, decided to stay off the highway for the night. I called the AmericInn, a little panicked that they might be full; but 20 minutes later I was ensconced in a large, warm room, eating my 2nd large, warm cookie! AmericInns are predictably well-designed, well-maintained, and staffed by friendly, efficient people, as this one was. The bed was FANTASTIC-- great pillows (if you like a rather bouncy, firm foam one, as I do); thick 100% cotton sheets. Great towels, too. If you've been creeped out by slippery poly sheets and thin, dinky towels in motels, this is NOT that kind of place. As for the breakfast: the best of its type! Now that so many motels do a breakfast, they seem to be getting pretty competitive. This one has cold hardboiled eggs AND hot little cheese omelets; sausage (I didn't try that); biscuits & gravy (didn't try); toast and English muffins and bagels with a good toaster; a waffle maker; several cold cereals; peanut butter and jams; sliced American cheese; both Yoplait (which I avoid due to its gelatin content) and Chobani Greek (which I love)! Whole bananas, apples and oranges; Dole diced tropical fruit in refrigerated cups. Lots of teas. Decent coffee. Really an amazing outlay! All in all, a great stay-- and when you hadn't anticipated shelling out $80 for a hotel thanks to a snowstorm, it made the surprise stay very pleasant.
While I believe they are overpriced on their rates, it was a very clean and inviting place to stay and everyone I met was friendly. I was not there long enough to try out their pool or anything and I think my family would have enjoyed the stay if they were along.

This hotel is a decent place and have stayed here before but had a few issues this trip. Had problems with the key cards not working, very large group was there who weren't concerned about using the whole place as their "home" and I would rather sleep in the car than on the pullout sleeper sofa. Also the mechanicals seemed pretty loud in the room were in.
we stayed here as a stop over on a trip. the hotel was wonderful. the service from the staff outstanding. the rooms were clean and in good shape. the pool area was great breakfast was very good would recommend this hotel
