I loved the location. There was a nice restaurant next door we could walk to. The room was very nice. Free parking, free wi-fi, and free breakfast. I would recommend the hotel. It was the first time I stayed here.

This was the worst hotel I ever encountered. Would not clean rooms daily along with a host of other things that would not work. I tried to get them to give me another room due to the noise in the room I was in, but they refused. I wound up sleeping on a couch in the lobby.
Leroy, I'm sorry to see that you didn't have an enjoyable stay with us. It would be most helpful to know when you stayed with us so we may research what transpired, since we provide housekeeping service to all of our rooms daily. We would, however, refrain from doing so if there's a do not disturb sign on the door. It would be most helpful to know when you stayed with us so we may research what transpired. Hotel staff was very friendly enjoyed coffee bar hotel seemed very clean and in a very convenient location nice to have breakfast offered really enjoyed this hotel for the price only thing I missed was having a refrigerator in the room

My husband and I had booked a 2 night stay 9/16-9/17 to celebrate my birthday through Expedia, upon arrival we realized we had been placed in a room with two beds no microwave or refrigerator. Also the bathtub looked as if it hadn't been cleaned and the door was cracked and could not be locked. The room was so small that you had to maneuver around the beds carefully as to not bang into the table/ tv stand or Armoire ( which happened anyway) We returned to the front desk to ask if we could be placed in a room with a single king bed and refrigerator/microwave. At first the young lady at the front desk was helpful and checked to see if there was anything available and immediately said there was a room on the same floor a few rooms down, and even questioned if that would be fine. Of course we said yes and she proceeded to make the change until it was verified that we had booked through Expedia. All of the sudden she wasn't able to make the change stating that the hotels computer wouldn't allow the change cause it would show the hotel as overbooked. She then said maybe the manager (which was right next to her helping another guest) may be able to approve it but the without speaking with him just said it could not be done. At first we walked outside but my husband seeing my anger, disappointment with the hotel (we are constantly traveling taking mini vacations as my husband has a very busy schedule and this was the first time we stayed at Americ INN) he decided to go back inside to speak with the manager on duty to see if the upgrade could be done just to get the same response. It seemed that because we booked through Expedia at a discounted rate they didn't want to make the change from the double to single king room. To make matters worse because our room was right near the elevators there was so much noise first from guest then in the morning by staff it made sleeping impossible. We decided one last effort to try breakfast at 8am. The eggs and sausage were cold so we had to re-warm them in the microwave that's next to the front desk. And the waffles came out part uncooked even though I left mine in for an additional minute because I like them crispy. We decided at to leave and forget the second night we had booked at American INN and go to a different Hotel for the second night. At checkout we explained to Cathy our experience and she was kind to apologize and stated we would not be charged for the second night because we found the hotel unsatisfactory but would need to go through Expedia to receive a refund. Just to say an ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! One we've never had at other hotels. Will definitely not be returning.

I'm glad that you found Kathy to be kind, and apologetic. I hope that the process went smoothly to receive the refunded monies for your pre-paid room reservation. I did confirm that we provided Expedia with what they needed to waive any penalties, and refund the remainder of your stay.

We had a great stay. The only thing that wasn't excellent was the breakfast but the hotel was very busy! It might have been a one time issue. Every other aspect of our stay was pleasant.
It was wonderful that they are pet friendly and the cost for the pet was reasonable.
