We are the Turner Family a family of three myself my husband and my son. We had the bittersweet experience of checking in at the AmericInn Fishers Indiana in October of this year and recently was forced to leave by management Mr Andrew who is supposively the Hotels GM.Upon our arrival at this hotel we were treated good by the staff Morgan,Syeed,and a few more front desk clerks. However,A few weeks into our stay it began to get a little over barring for us because one we had other bills and two we were trying to save money and find stable housing. With that being said I began to search for ways to save on hotel stays when I encountered the Easy Rewards program which saves you about $75.00 per week or a free night so to speak.Moreover,after being at the hotel over 30 days we became tax exempt which saved us even more money towards our stays.With that being said when Andrew learned that we were saving money he began to become quite unfriendly towards us he initially told us that the only way we could stay there is if we paid a week in advance,now I'm not the smartest person in the world but I'm pretty sure when your at a hotel you can pay however you like unless it's an extended stay and even those have nightly rates. However,this was his way of trying to ensure that we could not afford to stay there. But when we were able to produce payment even with the help of other sources he became even more upset. One thing that he quoted to me and I quote I'm losing money and I have a little boy to feed and I'm not gonna lose my job for you. I was amazed that he even stated this to me as if he was doing us a favor he didn't give us any discount and the vouchers that we were using were because of my easy rewards account as well as being tax exempt. Upon our last night there he purposely lied to me stating that he had already applied our voucher yet we still owed $350.00 dollars but two days earlier we had already paid $225.00 so he basically was trying to get extra money or did receive extra money to try and make up for us being tax exempt. His overall demeanor towards us was one of a person who thought we did not belong in that area. Fishers is a predominantly Caucasian area however there are mixture of many in this area. We quickly learned that we were not welcome there based off of Andrews treatment. He knew that we were homeless and had no other place to go yet he decided to make things harder for us so that we would have no choice but to leave. On our last day there we didn't have enough money to pay for a full week til the next day when my husband got paid and I asked him could we pay the week tomorrow he immediately said no that tonight was paid for and that he wasn't going to extend us again tomorrow and he told us to check out the next day. We were discriminated against Because we were homeless and looked down upon as if we were nothing. On top of that he did not like the fact that I had complained several times about the housekeepers using a rag to clean the inside and outside of the toilet and then use the same rag to clean the sinks and counter tops where we lay our tooth brushes and combs and face cloths. I had tried to say something to them on my own however, they do not speak English so it was a lost cause and they continued to do so until I continuously complained. Andrew did not like that I was voicing my opinion and thought that because we were homeless that we should not say a word and that we should grateful for being there. Although we are homeless we still paid our money and regardless how we were able to maintain we were still guests paying guests and we deserved to be treated fairly just as if we were wealthy people or of another race. Andrew had gotten to the point where he wouldn't speak around Caucasian guests to myself or my family but would do so when alone or no one was around. This behavior made us so uncomfortable that we began to go in and out the back or wouldn't even come down eat breakfast around the same time as everyone else. We made sure that we ate breakfast at exactly 5am to avoid being seen because of how we were being treated. I would never recommend AmericInn Fishers 9780 North By Northeast Boulevard to anyone especially a African American Family that is Homeless because I assure you you will leave feeling worse than you already were upon arrival. We don't have much but be have each other and peace in our hearts to know that somehow we will survive and just allow God to deal with people who display racism and hatred towards us. With that being said because this is so fresh and he couldn't have put us out at a worser time I feel I need to follow the right chain of commands to get this issue resolved as well as take action if need be. As I stated racism and or discrimination is a very very serious crime and we will not tolerate being treated unjust because of our situations and colors of our skin. We are disgusted,appalled, and hurt and someone needs to know about this unprofessionalism immediately. I will be following up with corporate soon as well and seeking out other options or ways to insure that this never happens again to anyone no matter their skin color or situation. And again I state AmericInn Fishers is totally not a good place to be when transitioning. Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. No Problems. Nice breakfast. Close to restaurants. Easy on and off the highway. The only thing I hate is when you have to do these reviews and you have to have a minimum amount of characters!

When booking this hotel I used Hotwire, and I requested at least a 3 star rating. It was compared to by Hotwire to Embassy suites, Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn, and Spring Hill Suites, all of which I have stayed before and loved their accommodations. However upon arrival of the hotel the decor was extremely dated, the curtains in the room were FILTHY, there was black mold under the rim of the toilet. (i dropped and earring on the floor in the bathroom and when I picked it up I noticed the mold). The room came with no microwave or refrigerator (which I thought was standard in 2015). The only ice machine was located in the lobby and we were on the 3fl. Very dissatisfied. There was one saving grace about the stay the bed and pillows were extremely comfy. However the comfy bed and pillows will not warrant an additional stay with AmericInn.
