We were on the last day of our four day family trip. We had booked two weeks in advance two rooms this hotel because three of the family members had lived in Mounds View and still had friends in the area, plus the convenience of the Mermaid restaurant next door made it easy...
We were on the last day of our four day family trip. We had booked two weeks in advance two rooms this hotel because three of the family members had lived in Mounds View and still had friends in the area, plus the convenience of the Mermaid restaurant next door made it easy for all to get together that evening.
We were assigned adjoining rooms, #118 and #120. We should have been wary when we opened the curtains and had the hotel's air conditioning equipment as our view. We could hear the equipment kick on and off every few minutes. We should have complained then, but figured didn't want to try to move 7 adults (one 91 years old) and one baby. First impression-the room was worn looking, and prbably used for quests when nothing else was available, but clean enough, the metal drain plug was lying on the bathtub, the vent had been put back in the wall with the repair obvious. Noticed the next morning that we did not have a coffee maker, and the smoke alarm was missing the plastic backing where the batteries were. We did complain when we checked out, got an apology but no offer to have a manager talk to us.
On the plus side the breakfast was good, clean area, restocked frequently.

Love this hotel the staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean. Love the water slide in the pool for families visits. The breakfast items of waffles, eggs, and other items was great. Fruit is always fresh.

Not only does this Hotel have a pool and hot tub, but it is connected to a fine dinning and a bowling lanes. They also have a small arcade for children, and a wonderful bar for adults.
It is a great get-a-way, without going anywhere.

I had to come here for work. Stayed a few days and slept well. Breakfast was good. Folded omelets and sausage plus boiled eggs of you prefer that style. All the rest of a typical motel breakfast also. Desk clerks were friendly and the room was quiet.

great place to stay..connected to bowling alley easy to reach from highway..just off 694 on hwy 10..easy to get out of town and on the road home to winoina. the breakfast was grreat you can have waffles, eggs, sausage, milk, orange juice and more.
