We stayed at the AmericInn fora hockey tournament. We stayed in a suite, room 201. The room was clean and very nice. Breakfast was good, hot breakfast options. The pool was nice and had hot tub and sauna. I used the fitness center a couple times while we were here and it is small but serves its purpose. The hotel is close to arenas and restaurants. Not much to do in Roseau... we visited the Roso movie theater and a couple shops in town Annie's trading post and Twice the Charm.
I am so glad you enjoyed both your stay and your time in Roseau. By the way, you stayed in my favorite room, the "Up North" themed suite with Amish made furniture, rough hewn pine interior, and original Northern Lights painting. I am also glad you made use of the pool, fitness center, and our breakfast. I am happy you also found some of our hidden jewels around town. I hope you come back soon and I can let you of even more things to do in the area. Again, thank you for coming and letting us all know about your stay. Darrin
Very friendly staff who was always there to help or suggest places to go around town. Very relaxed place to stay, they really cater to their guests and were open to our socialization all night. The rooms were very clean and spacious.
Thank you for staying and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. We work very hard to make our hotel a pleasant place to stay. I am so happy you found myself and my staff helpful, that why we are here, and is the least we can do. Please come again. Thanks, Darrin

We stayed on business on the client's dime. We were issued a handicap suite on the first floor. WOW! A two room suite plus whirlpool and fireplace, nice couch, two televisions. The bed wasn't quite the polished slab of granite we like, but it was firm and comfortable. Six pillows of varying softness enabled us to dial in the perfect combination. Breakfast was fairly typical, but tasty and a good variety. Both desk clerks were friendly and very helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations and other needs. Great job, staff! The ONLY drawback was the beep beep beep of the front-end loader clearing snow off the lot outside our window at 4 a.m., but given the blizzard, it had to be done.
I am so glad you enjoyed your stay, we do have two grand master suites like that, I love when people enjoy them! Beds and pillows are so personalized, so I am glad you were able to find the combination to your liking. Thank you for sharing! Darrin

We travel for Hockey for my son quite a bit, and this year we have already traveled to Minot, and go to White Bear Lake, MN this coming weekend. We are usually forced to stay at a particular hotel booked my the Hockey tournament. I must say that AmericInn's are usually overpriced any ways, I would never choose them normally, but this was outrageous. First, our toilet wasn't flushing and when I went to the front desk and asked if there was another rest room, as our wasn't working the front desk person told me where it was, and never asked where my room was, that was odd in itself. Inside the room, the shower is a joke, if your over 5' 3" you will need to bend our knees and crouch to get under the shower head that has absolutely no pressure at all. I should add that our hotel in Minot was Microtel, and much nicer than this one and we paid $55.00 a night, and our hotel in White Bear Lake, MN next weekend is Country Inn & Suites, St. Paul NE, and that will be marked down from $160.00 to 99.00 plus tax. Our room in Roseau, which is a small town, and a very old, and run down hotel, was $131 per night plus tax, for just a regular double queen room. Nothing fancy. The total after taxes for 2 nights was $294.00. They clearly jump the price up for these hockey tournaments when other towns lower them and are happy to have people in the community spending money. I would never stay here again. The only positive experience was the young lady that checked us on our arrival, she seemed to work the 3-11 shift, the other 2 at the front desk, were not employee's that I would hire.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of your stay at our hotel.
I certainly apologize for any inconvenience caused by maintenance issues during your stay. Our staff always encourage guests to notify us of any issues while you are still in-house so that we can work to remedy these concerns for you to enjoy the rest of your time with us. Had anyone known that your toilet was plugged we sure would have plunged it for you or at the very least offered you a plunger, whatever you would have been more comfortable with.
At the AmericInn Lodge & Suites of Roseau, we are proud of our rooms, all of which are newly refreshed, spacious, bright, and clean. This is not only my job, it is my livelihood to make sure my guests have a clean, comfortable, updated, and safe room at a fair price all with great service. I take this responsibility very personally and seriously.
With regard to the accommodation rates, hotels set prices based on occupancy. Hockey is what we cater to, exclusively. We appreciate all of our guests, both as a hotel, and as a town. Hockey is what we do, and we do whatever we can to do it well.
Thank you again for sharing your comments, Darrin
clean, extremely friendly staff, very personable and more than anything this was top notch clean.friendly front desk staff, made small talk and made sure we had enough breakfast, offered to make more for the late risers in our party.
All I can say is wonderful. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay, so glad you enjoyed our clean hotel, so glad you enjoyed our staff, and so glad you enjoyed our breakfast. Believe it or not, that is why we are here, that is what it is all about for us. Thank you so much for staying and for letting the world know about your stay. Thanks, Darrin
