As the title of this review states, it's the little things here that added up to a less than great stay for me. We got to this hotel late in the morning the day we were scheduled to check in, and so we asked if there were any rooms ready so that we might check in early. We were told that there were rooms ready, but it would cost us an extra $15 to check in early. I have stayed in a lot of hotels, many with higher star ratings than AmericInn, and I've never been asked to pay extra for early check-in. I've even told several people this story since it happened, and nobody I've talked to has heard of this policy before. The heater in our room didn't seem to be working quite right--the automatic setting didn't work, so we either had to have it on or off. Thankfully, when it was on it did put out a lot of heat. The breakfast was disappointing. As someone who tries to eat healthy and gluten free, there weren't many options (eggs would've been nice, even hard boiled ones). And the coffee was pretty poor; we ended up at a coffee shop in town for a second breakfast and decent coffee. Positives: the rooms and the entire property were very clean and the beds were comfortable.

Again I am sorry about the early check in charge you experienced and the fact that the heater unit was not turning on and off properly. Our eggs have not been coming in from our distributor for the past few weeks. I will also show the review to them to ensure something is done promptly in regards to the hard boiled eggs. We normally do serve hard boiled eggs and also the egg patties. We do try to have a healthy breakfast. We serve an egg product and a meat product every other day. When we have biscuits and gravy we do serve sausage with that for the protein. We try to be as health conscious as possible. We do know there are a variety of likes and dislikes. We serve gluten free Chex cereal for those that can't tolerate the gluten. We have a variety of yogurts and fresh fruit served daily as well. I am also sorry you did not enjoy the taste of our coffee.

Didn't know what to expect as I had no previous experience with this brand but we were very pleased and would definitely stay here again. Did not use the indoor pool but lots of people did and it looked fun.

I'd never stayed at this chain of hotels before & wasn't really expecting much. It was very comfortable, the staff was exceptionally nice, and the thermostat control worked perfectly (very important to me)! I'll stay here again each time I visit my son at nearby Crown coll...

This was the second time that we have stayed in this hotel while in the area. The first time was excellent and we recommended it. This time was not near as good. First, when we checked in we were given a handicapped room by the front desk person and when we expressed our desire to move to another room, we were given a rather cold response. Then we got back to our room for our second night, we found; dead ants in a tray by our tv, coffee stains in our sink, and hair in the bathtub. When we told the front desk about this we were questioned as if it were our fault. Also, these problems occurred after we left a tip for housekeeping the night before. In addition, the pillows on our bed were quite worn and without support. We did get a $25 reduction and apology when we checked out so hopefully someone realizes that things need to be changed. This hotel is in a great location and we will be in this area again in the future, so hope things will improve. The place has potential and nice facilities, and was great on our prior stay.

It appears you made your reservation online or by phone and chose or were given a queen, queen handicap room when you made the reservation. I am sorry that you didn't want that room type. I am happy that the front desk could move you to a non handicap room since we were sold out the weekend you were staying with us. We will be checking all the pillows in all the rooms to ensure they are up to our standards so that our guest can sleep comfortably. I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. It consistently provides tremendous value. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and proactive to ensure my stay is exceptional. The rooms are consistently clean, they offer complimentary health club access (5 minute drive), and there is always complimentary fruit, coffee/tea, and USA Today newspapers. The breakfast includes hot entrees, waffles, yogurt, and a wide variety of other items to accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten free cereals.
