The rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast options are nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is convenient for both downtown and mall trips. Ample parking. The pool is clean and has a slide.
AmericInn was very clean, QUIET and atmosphere was great...The pool area was enjoyed by many,.and family oriented. The breakfast had a good wide arrangement of goodies. good location to everything in the Fox Cities...
Unfriendly staff, hard as rock beds and pillows, leaking ceiling, horrible breakfast and the pool shut down for making children and adults sick. My family broke out in a rash. Definitely Don't recommend this hotel!

Booked this hotel - because of the listed waterpark and the price with an employee discount. We arrived approx. 6pm. Tyler at the front desk was extremely polite and welcoming. Explained breakfast, pool and best approach to our room. Answered our questions. However, we didn't hear him correctly about the 'waterpark' which was just a waterslide. My son went to the front desk to ask about the waterslide. We were told it 'runs' only 1-8pm on a Saturday; but will be back on from 8-11am in the morning. We have our day planned and will be leaving 8-830am. Picked this specific location be cause of the waterpark.

I stayed for a couple nights to visit friends in the area. I requested a room as far away from the pool area as possible, since I read on here that they do open swim. I was still on the first floor, but on the opposite end of the hotel than the pool area. There were kids running through the halls, screaming at each other or just shrieking because that's what kids do. Twice there was some sort of party in the breakfast area/conference area, which clogged up the hallways and front lobby area (gotta love teen girls who are too busy checking their phones to move out of your way to let you pass even after you say "excuse me" twice). I probably would've been better off on the second floor instead. I never used the pool area, but I did use the fitness center. There is a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, and universal weight system. They aren't the best at checking to make sure towels are there so people can wipe down the machines when they're done using them. The breakfast was so-so. On one morning, I went to breakfast at 8 am (it runs from 6-10) and there weren't that many eggs left, and what was there was burned to the pan. The other hot option was greasy sausage patties. They had 4 yogurt containers, all the same flavor, cereal, juice, bread (that was stale), bagels, and a pastry of some sort. The next morning I went back at the same time and there were 3 yogurt containers (so clearly they never replenished from the following day), the same sausage patties that were swimming in either water or grease (or both) from the day before, zero eggs left, pastries, and stale bread and stale bagels. I went back on a Saturday morning and it was so packed with kids and their parents that I couldn't even get to anything other than the yogurt. (which they did replenish with different brands and flavors) The room itself was mostly clean, except for the lovely broken fingernail on the floor and the stray hair in the sink. The very odd thing about this hotel was they don't give you a comforter- it was a thin sheet and a fleece-type blanket, but that's it. When I asked at the front desk for a heavier blanket I was told they could give me another fleece blanket but they don't have comforters. The bed itself was on the harder side. The heater/fan in the room was noisy when it kicked in and I found out the first night that it would heat for a while and then the a/c would kick in before shutting off. The toilet also would randomly start running water in the middle of the night. The chair in the room smelled musty and made my allergies act up when I sat in it, so I didn't use it during my stay. The desk chair wasn't an office chair, but a wooden chair with a cushion. I have to give the snowplow people kudos- when I was there, it snowed about 5" and the lot was mostly clear. The front desk staff was friendly but somewhat clueless when it came to certain things. I don't know if they were new or just never really had people ask questions before. The room's tv was decent, WiFi was spotty (but I found if I plugged my laptop in, it worked faster for some reason), room size was good, and lobby/breakfast area are clean.
Great to hear that your stay was nice. Your review had a lot of great points and we will take them inconsideration. We look forward to your next stay with us.
