I have stayed at another Americinn and expected another so-so stay but the facilities and staff were excellent for this small town where there are few lodging options. Room was spacious and clean, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

We were given upstairs rooms although we hoped for first floor due to mobility issues. With no elevator, I had to endure more stair climbing than is comfortable. Front desk staff were a mixed group with one or two being especially helpful and professional and others indifferent. The room was fine-spacious with nice sized vanity separate from bath and toilet which we prefer.
It was not a restful place as a lot of noise started around 11:45 PM with kids running up and down hallway and adults talking loudly in halls. I think they may have been swimming judging by the swimsuits. Much door slamming and noise until around 1 AM. At one point my husband got up to shush some teens but it didn't help much. In retrospect we should have contacted front desk although the person on duty in the morning claimed not to have heard anything-hard to imagine since there was an open balcony on second floor.
Breakfast was good although hard to access due to crowds of people...and not enough breakfast seating since some folks tended to linger while playing cards, etc. I think we must have stayed there when groups were also staying.
In retrospect, I would try to find a small B&B for a more peaceful setting.

We needed a place to stay on our visit to Copper Harbor. We remembered the AmericInn from a visit about ten years ago. We enjoyed our stay and added an extra night. Quick breakfast in morning got us going. Staff was helpful with all our requests. Convenient location for the places we wanted to go, Copper Harbor, Brockway Mountain and Fort Wilkins. If in area we would stay there again.
Everyone was friendly. When they were told they were out of something like a tea they promptly replaced it . Very happy with the items on the breakfast bar. I liked to see that they had Gluten free choice for those who need that.
Awesome staff. Nice clean room. Wheelchair accessible room was actually accessible! There is no elevator so we were on the main floor close to the lobby and still quiet. The staff even took a group photo for us so we wouldn't have to Photoshop anyone in.
