This hotel is located by the Westroads Shopping Center in Omaha. It is an exceptional place to stay. Very clean, very friendly, great free hot breakfast. I recommend this hotel without equal or qualification (for the money).
Thanks for the great comments - hope to see you soon!
We came to Omaha to celebrate my birthday on St. Patrick's Day. We received a very nice welcome from guest services. The cleaning staff were also very friendly. We will stay again! The location is great being close to places to eat and shop!
Glad your Special Day was a great one!
Needed a comfy place to rest our heads after a fun day visiting family and this was it. Clean, modern rooms with great continental breakfast. Nice lobby with big screen TV to watch March madness!! Fruit and coffee available in lobby all day/ night.
So glad you enjoyed your stay - please come again!

The hotel room was spacious and clean - we had 2 beds, which the beds seemed more like twin beds than queens. Paid extra for microwave & fridge, since not all the rooms came with those amenities. Our room faced the interstate, but that was never a problem - we didn't have any issues with noise outside. There was continental breakfast in the morning with a fair selection of things to choose from, waffles, cereal, etc. The hotel is nicely located right across from the mall, and that is why we chose to stay here.
The disappointments: no shuttle. Yes, the mall is right across the street, but if they offered a shuttle, I would've rather gone that route, than deal with the parking headache. Not a deal breaker, but something people should be aware of. The pool was very small, even for a hotel, and only went up to 4 feet. We stayed on a Saturday night, and the hotel was overrun with kids. I was there with my kids, so kids is not a problem, except, that kids were constantly running from the pool to the lobby making messes everywhere, and nobody was ever at the front desk in the evening it seemed. The complimentary coffee station was covered in garbage, the garbage under the table was full, so people just left their garbage in a pile on the floor and all over the table, and didn't wipe up anything they spilled. Secondly, there is one elevator for the entire hotel. All in front of the elevator that night was pool water - people running back & forth to the pool tracked water all over the lobby and in front of the elevator and vending machines on the first floor - someone threw a pool towel down, but this was not cleaned up for hours, nor was a sign put up that the floor was wet. It was a hard surface floor, so it was very slippery...I don't know where the front desk person was.
Lastly, the tv in our room stopped working. Flipping thru channels, and then it was just stuck on and couldn't change the volume or anything. Thought maybe it was a battery issue. Went down to the front desk and waited and waited for someone to show up, since I kept calling the front desk and there was no answer. Finally, someone showed up, and they gave me batteries for the remote and explained about jiggling the back cord or something to make it work, and I said the buttons on the tv didn't work either, and he was rather snotty about how NONE of the tvs had buttons that actually worked (why would they?!?!) Went back and I tried to jiggle the cord like he said, changed the batteries, and never could get anything to work, so I just unplugged it. The next morning, the maids in the hallways were friendly & smiling, and then I waited to check out, since nobody was at the desk. One of the maids tracked him down, I checked out, put my suitcase in the car, then realized I wanted to ask for directions, went back inside and waited, but the front desk guy was already gone again to who knows where, so I just left.
Overall, the hotel is good enough, the room was comfortable. I think the front desk is understaffed though - if they had 2 people on, there would at least be somebody there when issues arrive, and maybe keep things clean when pool water is tracked all over and garbage is thrown on the floor.
Things do get really crazy around the hotel when there are so many kids staying but we enjoy that they are having a great time. It is tough for one person to tidy up behind folks every few minutes when their efforts are directed to servicing the guests. Appreciate your comments...
We had an excellent stay at the Omaha AmericInn! Convenient location just off the interstate, within walking distance to the mall and many restaurants. Our room was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to everyone. Great...
