On October 7 1996 the Sheboygan Community Theatre Foundation a not-for-profit corporation was established and became the single significant driving force in the $10 million dollar preservation and restoration of the Sheboygan Theater. The property was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior and the State of Wisconsin Register of Historic Places by the State Historical Society of Wisconsin on December 22 1999. The Milwaukee Mile located in West Allis Wisconsin is the oldest operating motor speedway in the world. Purchased in 1891 to create a permanent site for the Wisconsin State Fair the speedway still hosts at least one race per year. The track has also hosted events in the past such as NASCAR the IndyCar Series and American Automobile Association events. Former competitors at the track include Mario Andretti Rusty Wallace Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Darrell Waltrip. Head to the track to catch a piece of history!

The Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison Wisconsin houses both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature along with the state Supreme Court and the Office of the Governor. Located in nearby Sarona this sanctuary is an environmental learning community with over 450 acres of wooded glacial hills mature maples groves of ancient white pines and two lakes providing a home for a wide variety of other plants and animals.
In 1906 William Irvine had a dream to establish a reserve that would enhance and protect the Chippewa Valley environment. Mr. Irvine then donated a number of acres to the city for this purpose. The size of the park has grown throughout the years and is now 318 acres. It has been a recreational resource of pride for Chippewa Falls residents and visitors for many years. This is a two-mile gently rolling trail. The trail is located in the city of Chippewa Falls on Highway 124 North.
Joe BikeLer's Bike Shop has a great location on the Mountain Bay Trail system. This shop is a one stop cycling center that carries 36+ lines of bikes and does custom building as well as painting. There are certified staff at the location and they carry just about any part that’s needed. Joe BikeLer's offers not only bike accessories but nutritional supplies internet access a coffee shop and a great place to take a break on your journey though Central Wisconsin. Kohler-Andrae State Park in Sheboygan Wisconsin is the home of majestic sand dunes miles of golden beach shimmering blue Lake Michigan water whispering pines an abundance of wildlife and recreational activities for everyone. Kohler-Andrae State Park is one of the last natural preserves along the Lake Michigan shore and is open for everyone to explore and enjoy.

Visit Keshena Falls on Hwy 47/55 going toward Keshena. This is a gorgeous sight that has a rich history attached to it. In the past Sturgeon came up the Wolf River this far each spring to spawn and many years ago the Menominee's would ride the falls in a canoe for a few coins from tourists. This was the area where the treaty of 1854 was signed by the U.S. government and Menominee Chiefs Osh-kosh and Ke-she-nah establishing the Menominee Reservation.
KOA offers some of the best fishing tubing and hiking in the area.
One of the newest and most interesting additions to Regner Community Park is the Labyrinth Garden Earth Sculpture. The labyrinth is 90 feet in diameter and consists of a carefully planted selection of bulbs perennials herbs and annuals. Follow the winding path of the labyrinth will take you to the center of the circle and eventually back out again. It is a beautiful work of art that can be actively enjoyed.
The 136-acre Lac Lawrann Conservancy contains wetlands a native hardwood forest a red pine plantation tall grass prairie and glacial landscapes. The Conservancy serves as refuge to over 300 species of plants over 200 species of birds and a wide variety of mammals as well as reptiles and amphibians. The 4 miles of hiking trails are open daily dawn to dusk and about 3 miles are groomed for cross-country skiing when snow conditions permit.

This scenic park area offers several walking trails through a scenic northern hardwood forest a viewing platform and close-up views of an abundance of indigenous wildlife such as the American Bald Eagle and the Cerulean Warbler.
This ATV and snowmobile trail is a 47-mile trail that meanders through the heart of southwest Wisconsin's Driftless Area a massive tract of land noted for the rolling hills and rocky outcroppings left untouched by glaciers.
With 83.4 miles of off road cycling the Mountain Bay Trail is made from the former railroad corridor which stretches from Green Bay to Wausau. The Shawano Country portion contains 51 miles which extends from the Village of Pulaski to the Village of Eland and is designed for hiking bicycling and horseback riding. During the winter months the trail is used for snowmobiling and ATV use.
This beautiful 12 mile wildlife area is open for exploration snow sports biking and hiking and relaxation. It’s located on the 15000 acre Navarino Wildlife Area. There are 12 miles of trails easily accessible from the nature center providing access to a variety of habitats. The Nature Center is equipped with a picnic area picnic shelter amphitheater rustic restrooms; pump well parking lot cabin and an all-season handicap accessible building. There are programs activities and recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages. Covered by forests and interspersed with wetlands and grasslands the Navarino Wildlife Area provides a home for its many inhabitants including swans sandhill cranes ducks deer owls and many other woodland creatures. While separate from the Wildlife Area the Navarino Nature Center operates within the wildlife grounds. The center offers seasonal seminars self-guided walking tours and trails for hiking biking and cross county skiing.

The Old Abe Trail is a paved 19.4 mile multi-use trail. It winds through agricultural and forestland while following the Chippewa River. There is an abundance of wildlife and natural beauty. One of the trailheads is located northeast of Chippewa Falls. From Highway 53 follow County Highway S for about 5.5 miles. At the junction of Highway S and Highway O turn left on 97th Avenue. A state bike pass is required for anyone 16 years and older. Self registration passes are available at the trailheads in Cornell at the Millyard Park and at Lake Wissota on 97th Avenue. You may also get one in Chippewa Falls at the Chippewa Falls Visitor Center.

The Ski Sharks perform every Wednesday night from mid-June through mid-August at the Wolf River Beach behind the Shawano Medical Center. Many courageous stunts are performed from helicopters to double crisscrosses under other jumpers on the ski-jumping team. The swivel skiers are the graceful acrobats you see turning and swerving along the river. And the pyramid one of the most photographed and precise acts you will see on the water is one of the Shawano Ski Shark’s specialties.
